The week you just cant afford that right now ask if there are any offpeak weeks when they would be willing to accept lower price assuming your current schedule is flexible of course but you just cant afford that could also open up friendly.

Anther good way to get a better price is to call a local travel agency, they usually have reserved a few rooms a could get you one or a lot less money.
